Police are investigating the deaths of three persons in Texas, which are considered to be murder-suicides.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announced on social media that the three people — an adult man, an adult female, and a toddler — were discovered dead in a home near Conroe on Thursday, Oct. 23.
The MCSO stated officers were summoned to the home around 3:45 p.m. local time, and when they arrived, they discovered the three deceased “just outside the home.”
Authorities provided no additional information regarding their particular locations, specific injuries, or what caused the fatalities.
According to the MCSO, Montgomery County Major Crimes detectives and crime scene investigators responded quickly to the scene.
“Preliminary facts and evidence suggest the incident is believed to be a murder-suicide involving one adult male, one adult female, and one child,” the police said in a statement.
Police named the deceased as Salvador Ramirez, 52, and Maria Ramirez, 39. The 3-year-old was recognized as a boy, but his name has not been disclosed.
“It will shock people’s conscience to see this kind of thing happening in our community,” he went on to say: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family members, especially those that have discovered this horrible incident.”
The MSCO stated that, based on its “initial investigation,” investigators believe the tragedy was “an isolated incident” with “no threat to the public.”
They also agreed with the sheriff, stating, “Our hearts and prayers are with the family involved in this tragic incident.”
Neighbors who lived near the Remirez home were surprised by the occurrence, including Carlos Delgado, who told Click2Houston that it was unusual to see such in their tranquil neighborhood.
“It’s scary, it’s dangerous,” Delgado told the publication. “Something like that happened too close to our house.”
The MSCO confirmed that the inquiry into the deaths is currently ongoing.
