Jimmy Gracey, 20, a student at the University of Alabama, died after drowning near a nightclub. Authorities confirmed through an autopsy that his death was accidental, and no criminal charges will be filed.
What Happened That Night
Gracey was last seen on March 17 after leaving the Shôko nightclub. He had become separated from his friends and was walking alone toward a rocky coastal area near the beach. At some point, he fell into the water.
His body was discovered two days later near the Somorrosto area. Reports say he had injuries consistent with hitting rocks multiple times while in the water.
Investigation Details
Before the autopsy results, police had considered the possibility that Gracey may have been drugged. However, no clear evidence has confirmed that so far, and a toxicology report is still pending.
