Police said a guy was shot to death after a fight with a lady at a motel.

Obaidulla F. Shareef, 28, was found shot dead in the driver’s seat of a car parked near an office building in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, on February 4, 2026. He had a gunshot wound to the head, and police discovered a hotel receipt inside the vehicle linked to a woman from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Incident Details

Shareef had checked into a nearby hotel the previous day and told a witness he was nervous about meeting two women from Tinder. Witnesses saw him with 19-year-old Akrystal Woods and another unidentified woman; Woods accused Shareef of taking $200 from her, leading to an argument that got them ejected from the hotel.

Arrest and Charges

Surveillance tracked Shareef’s car speeding out of a nearby parking garage before crashing, shortly before his body was found. Woods was arrested in Milwaukee on February 5 during a traffic stop, along with an unidentified man. She faces three counts of first-degree murder in DuPage County, Illinois.

Court Status

On February 13, 2026, Woods appeared in Milwaukee County court and waived extradition, agreeing to return to Illinois voluntarily. She remains in custody awaiting transfer to DuPage County, with no public motive released and no other charges announced as of mid-February 2026.
