Rueben Rocha was found guilty on February 2, 2026, of first-degree murder, aggravated assault, burglary, and disorderly conduct in the June 4, 2023, fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend Jordin Miranda Castillo, 20, at her Glendale, Arizona, apartment.
Attack Details
Rocha, masked and dressed in black, climbed to Castillo’s third-floor balcony amid a social media dispute, kicked in the glass door despite her 911 pleas citing an order of protection, and fired multiple rounds, killing her while injuring two friends; their 2-year-old daughter was inside but unharmed. Audio captured Castillo screaming, “You’re gonna get arrested! Please leave!” moments before gunfire.
Legal Outcome
Rocha turned himself in the next day, held on $2 million bond; despite no prior police domestic violence reports, family described it as such, noting the April protective order. Sentencing is set for March 20, 2026.
