SOUTH CAROLINA— A guy was detained Monday morning after deputies discovered methamphetamine and a forged urine sample during a traffic check in Oconee County.
Deputies executing a warrant service near Westminster observed a beige Nissan Frontier pickup with a driver and two passengers, none of whom were wearing seat belts.
According to reports, one passenger was sitting on top of another inside the vehicle. The truck was parked on Sarah Drive near Clearmont Road, and deputies made contact with its passengers.
During the check, deputies discovered a transparent baggie inside the vehicle, prompting a search that yielded eight grams of marijuana, 19.6 grams of methamphetamine, and a phony urine sample.
The driver, 38-year-old William Ed Orr of Tamassee, was detained and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possessing adulterants with the intent to evade a drug or alcohol test. He was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on a $38,000 surety bond for drug-related crimes.
Orr was also cited for simple possession of marijuana and a seatbelt violation, for which he was issued a $615 personal recognizance bond.
