DJ Robert Humble, who was working at the bar, confirmed that Hawk was singing Linkin Park’s “One More Light” when the shooting occurred. Shortly after the incident, the Licking County Sheriff’s Office identified Richard Lindgren as the primary suspect in the shooting. Lindgren was arrested in South Carolina the next day. Authorities are working on bringing him back to Ohio to face charges.

Hawk’s friends and fellow karaoke singers remembered him as a “larger than life presence with the voice of an angel.” A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help with funeral costs and support Hawk’s two daughters.
