New information emerge following a robbery attempt that ends to a fatal gunshot

New information have emerged following a shooting that killed an Upstate woman last month. As previously reported, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a robbery and shooting on Coleman Road in Clinton on October 3rd.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a woman had been fatally shot. Taneal Evans has been identified. After a month-long inquiry, it was discovered that Evans and a man named Ta’Marion Tribble attempted to rob someone.

The potential victim then shot both Tribble and Evans. Tribble was hurt during the incident, but has since been medically cleared. Tribble was accused with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the target of the robbery will not face prosecution at this time since the shooting was considered self-defense.
