Community Remembers “Brother Gabe”
In the aftermath of the tragedy, friends, family and members of Hubbert’s church gathered outside his home for a candlelight vigil, sharing photos and memories.
Hubbert’s wife, Guerla, described him as a forgiving and compassionate man. “He didn’t have a hurt in his heart for people,” she told WPLG. “They would do him wrong, and he would still forgive them.”
His younger brother, Joshua, told NBC Miami that many in the community knew him as “Brother Gabe,” a mentor and devoted father who was always willing to help others.
Hubbert’s church, Full of Faith Ministries, honored him in a Facebook tribute, describing him as a passionate worship leader whose faith and humility left a lasting impact.
As the investigation continues, Hubbert’s family says they are leaning on faith and community support while seeking justice for their loved one.
