A case out of Hamilton County, Ohio, has stunned the community after prosecutors revealed chilling details of how a man allegedly plotted the murder of his pregnant ex-girlfriend.

The Killing of India Kinamore

On March 4, 2023, 26-year-old India Kinamore was at her home on Hiddenmeadows Drive in Colerain Township, awaiting induced labor scheduled for later that day. Instead of welcoming her baby, she was shot and killed.

Her 6-year-old son discovered her bleeding and called his grandmother, saying: “My mommy has been shot.” Both Kinamore and her unborn child died.

Charges Against Kayvon Warren and Accomplices

Prosecutors allege that 30-year-old Kayvon Warren, the father of Kinamore’s unborn child, orchestrated the murder. He allegedly recruited Robert Ervin, 20, and Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, to help carry out the crime.

All three men have been indicted for aggravated murder, felonious assault, and burglary. Warren and Ervin are each being held on $600,000 bonds, while Suggs is already incarcerated on unrelated charges.

A Staged Burglary and Motive for Murder

Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich said the trio attempted to stage the killing as a burglary. Investigators believe Warren was facing financial problems, was involved with another woman, and had pressured Kinamore to terminate her pregnancy. When she refused, prosecutors say, he conspired to end both her life and the life of their unborn child.

“This should have been one of the happiest days of India’s life,” Pillich said. “Instead, the father of the child conspired with two others to kill her. It is heartbreaking.”

Evidence of Premeditation

One of the most disturbing allegations is that Warren requested bereavement leave from his job before Kinamore’s death, a detail prosecutors say shows clear premeditation.

Authorities also uncovered evidence of a group chat between Warren, Ervin, and Suggs, where they allegedly discussed plans to murder Kinamore before she gave birth.

Family’s Response

For India’s family, the indictments brought both sorrow and a sense of relief. Her mother, Terri Kinamore, said she never gave up hope that justice would come.

“I thought that Kayvon was a nice, upstanding gentleman and he turned out to be the complete opposite. A monster, because only a monster would do something like that,” she told local reporters after visiting her daughter’s gravesite.

What Happens Next

The three defendants remain behind bars as the case moves forward. Prosecutors have vowed to pursue justice for both Kinamore and her unborn child.
