A heartbreaking domestic violence incident in Washington, D.C., left 34-year-old Rayven Amuan Edwards dead, her 10-year-old daughter wounded, and a frantic search for their 3-year-old son ending safely.​
Shooting Details
On February 11 around 4:40 p.m., MPD officers responded to the 4100 block of W Street NW in Glover Park, finding Rayven shot multiple times and pronounced dead despite aid. Her daughter, shot in the arm, survived with non-life-threatening injuries after hospital treatment. A neighbor heard “blood-curdling screams” as the girl reported her stepdad shooting her mom.
Suspect Pursuit
Stephon Marquis Jeter, 35—Rayven’s ex and father of their toddler—was identified fleeing in a black pickup with the boy. Prince George’s County PD spotted him around 6:30 p.m., sparking a chase into D.C. Jeter crashed at 30th Street and Nash Place SE, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot; the child wasn’t inside.
Child Found, No Motive
