A patron at a horror-themed restaurant in Cleveland allegedly flashed a gun and refused to pay his bill after accusing a waiter of flirting with his child’s mother.
Officers from the Cleveland Heights Police Department were dispatched to The Haunted House Restaurant shortly before 9 p.m. on Oct. 22 after receiving a call regarding a person who needed to be removed from the premises, according to a copy of the investigative report obtained by PEOPLE.
The man had already fled by the time police arrived, but authorities interviewed staff members and eyewitnesses about what had happened earlier that evening.
A guy celebrating his young daughter’s birthday at the restaurant with her mother was furious because, according to the story, “Michael Myers was flirting with his girl.”
According to the story, the individual portraying Myers, the masked murderer from the Halloween franchise, “does not talk.”
A other diner informed police that the “flirting,” which appeared to upset the guy, occurred when the staff member representing Myers moved up and “hit his play knife on the table,” according to the affidavit.
According to the affidavit, the man began following Myers around the restaurant.
After being persuaded to walk outside, the waiter apparently consented, at which point the man showed his gun and shouted, “Oh you got a knife, well I got bullets.”
According to the affidavit, the manager on duty became aware of the interaction and requested that the individual pay his bill and exit the premises.
He then refused to pay, as did the woman he was with, according to the affidavit, but as they departed, the manager informed the group that she would be sending the woman’s identity to police because she had booked the reservation.
The man allegedly pulled out his gun again and told the manager when she returned to the restaurant, “b—ch, I’ll kill you.”
“Due to the bill never being paid and the male threatening staff with a firearm while refusing to pay, this incident is being investigated as an aggravated robbery,” according to the report.
