Diego Martin Villavicencio, 36, from Florida, faces federal charges for transmitting interstate threats after posting violent messages online targeting President Donald Trump, former President Joe Biden, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, and Rep. Eric Swalwell.
Threat Details
Posts on 4chan and X (formerly Twitter) from the “@oracleofomega” handle called to “Shoot Donald Trump” and “Shoot Joe Biden” during a Mar-a-Lago crypto event, ending with “Death to America” and anti-capitalist rants. He shared crosshairs over Powell’s image with a kill date, and directly messaged Swalwell: “I’ll kill you and your family… Corruption listens to bullets,” threatening to shoot him the next day. Similar threats continued on 4chan post-suspension.
Investigation and Arrest
Authorities traced the 2020 account via ProtonMail, ISP logs, and surveillance to Villavicencio’s Tallahassee residence. He was arrested last month (February 2026) in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida. A 2015 University of Central Florida incident involved him pulling a knife in a confrontation.
Legal Status
Villavicencio remains in custody awaiting a May 2026 trial. Swalwell confirmed the targeting, thanking the DOJ for addressing the silencing attempt through political violence.
