A 32-year-old woman, Jenae Bradley, has been arrested in connection with the February shooting death of 29-year-old Terrica Tabor in Memphis, Tennessee. The tragic incident, which took place in a motel parking lot, has left Tabor’s three children without their mother. Bradley has been charged with first-degree murder and is currently in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
The Fatal Shooting Incident
On February 22, around 9:45 p.m., Terrica Tabor was sitting in the passenger seat of a 2007 Ford Edge parked at the Star Lite Inn, accompanied by her boyfriend and sister. According to the sister, the trio noticed a woman in a black-hooded coat watching them from a nearby stairway. The woman then approached the car, raised a gun, and fired three shots into the vehicle. After the shooting, the suspect allegedly shouted, “I told you, b—! I told you!” before fleeing the scene.
Investigation and Arrest
Surveillance footage from the motel helped investigators identify the shooter as Jenae Bradley. Tabor’s sister later identified Bradley in a photo lineup. Although the motive behind the shooting has not been revealed, the authorities issued an arrest warrant in the days following the crime. However, it took nearly five months before Bradley was captured and arrested.
Bradley was arrested and is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail on a $90,000 bond. A bond reduction hearing is scheduled for Friday.
Tabor’s Legacy and Impact on Her Family
Terrica Tabor leaves behind three young children, with her eldest child, aged 10, struggling to comprehend the loss of her mother. Tabor’s aunt spoke to local news, describing her as a devoted mother who didn’t deserve to have her life cut short in such a tragic way. The pain of losing a mother in such circumstances has been particularly difficult for her children, especially her oldest, who is old enough to understand the loss.
The arrest of Jenae Bradley has brought a sense of justice, though the loss of Terrica Tabor has left a lasting impact on her children and family. While the motive for the shooting remains unclear, the case continues to raise questions about the violence that affects so many families. The investigation is ongoing, and Bradley’s court proceedings will determine her future.
