Aaron Webb, 25, faces charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated kidnapping, burglary, deadly conduct, and stalking after allegedly tracking his ex-girlfriend to her Arlington, Texas apartment, shooting her new boyfriend, and abducting her.
Incident Overview
On Tuesday night around 11 p.m., Webb forced entry into an apartment in the 700 block of Forest Hills Drive, where his ex—who had relocated from out of state to escape him—was with her new boyfriend (29), another woman, and two children. He shot the boyfriend, who fled to the 2100 block of Park Willow Lane, received aid, and is expected to survive his injuries.
Victim Escape and Arrest
The ex-girlfriend was forced into Webb’s vehicle against her will; he struck her, causing facial injuries, but she was otherwise unharmed upon rescue. Witnesses reported the gunman; police used cameras to locate the vehicle in Fort Worth (15 miles west), leading to Webb’s arrest and her recovery. The other occupants escaped via a back window.
