A New Hampshire convict is charged with attempting to solicit the murder of two people.
Edward LePore, 45, was arrested on a warrant for conspiracy to commit murder and solicitation to commit murder, according to the Keene Police Department.
According to court documents quoted by WMUR, LePore, an inmate at Cheshire County House of Corrections, asked a fellow inmate if he knew anyone he could hire to murder a Maine lady he said was his wife and a man who was reportedly married to her.
According to court filings, LePore allegedly promised the convict that he could pay $50,000 for each homicide, with the money coming from the sale of his property and his mother’s business once he was released.
According to the documents, the convict informed jail authorities, who subsequently notified the police.
According to the Keene Police Department, police monitored the two’s conversations throughout the subsequent investigation.
According to court filings, investigators contacted the woman who LePore claimed was his wife. She informed authorities that she was never married to him and that they were friends who spent time together, but she recently banned his phone number following his arrest, according to WMUR.
On October 28, LePore was detained at the Cheshire County House of Corrections.
The probable cause hearing is scheduled for November 5.
