Christian Barrios, 32, faces first-degree murder charges (among others) in Florida for a jealous rage shooting that killed 46-year-old Melissa Wood and 42-year-old Jason Chatham outside a Walgreens in Ponte Vedra Beach on March 13, 2026.

What Unfolded

  • Around 10:30 p.m., Barrios—on probation as a convicted felon—had his mother drive him to the A1A pharmacy, believing Wood (his ex) was cheating.
  • He jumped out frantically upon spotting her car, fired multiple shots into it (hitting both victims), then fled on foot.
  • Deputies responded to 911 calls; victims died at hospitals. K-9s tracked Barrios to a PGA Tour golf course.
  • Next day, he stole a BMW in Nassau County, crashed it, fled on foot, and was arrested.
