Deputies said a man shot a guy in a car at a stop light in Mullins, Marion County

Marion County, South Carolina — A 25-year-old Marion County resident is facing several charges after reportedly shooting someone in a car near Mullins on Wednesday night, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Ronald Harris of Mullins is being held without bond at the Marion County Detention Centre on charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, discharging a firearm into a vehicle, and possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person convicted of certain crimes.

According to deputies, Harris shot into the car Wednesday night as it was at a stop sign at the intersection of West Marion and North Smith streets. After being shot, the victim drove to the hospital, however his condition has not been reported by officials.

Deputies were notified and arrived at the MUSC Medical Centre emergency department at 8 p.m. The sufferer was later taken to another hospital for additional treatment.

No other information was immediately provided.
