Damson Idris' 17-year-old nephew has been identified as one of the victims of a man who attacked train passengers with a knife.

Damson Idris’s teenage nephew has been named as one of the youngest victims of a stabbing spree in England.

The British Transport Police (BTP) said in a news release on Tuesday, Nov. 4, that a 17-year-old kid “suffered facial injuries” after being attacked with a knife on London’s Docklands Light Railway.

The incident occurred mere hours before police received allegations that many people had been attacked on an LNER train from Doncaster to London King’s Cross.

Isaiah Ishmael Idris, the 17-year-old nephew of British actress Damson, 34, is thought to be one of the youngest victims of the knifeman guilty for the mass stabbing, according to the Metro and the Daily Mail.

According to the Metro, after being attacked at 12:46 a.m. local time on Saturday, Nov. 1, Isaiah “staggered” off the train at Pontoon Dock station and dialed 999 in the United Kingdom.

The suspect, Anthony Williams, 32, fled the scene before police arrived, according to the BTP news release. He was found and detained later that day.

Damson has yet to comment on his nephew’s claimed injuries. However, Habeeb Idris, Isaiah’s other uncle, corroborated the occurrence.

“I am aware that Isaiah was involved in the incident on a train, but we are dealing with this privately as a family,” Habeeb told the newspaper.

The BTP was notified of many passengers being stabbed on another train around 7:42 p.m. local time on Saturday, Nov. 1. At least ten persons were injured at the scene and sent to a local hospital for treatment, according to a prior news release from BTP.

Williams appeared in Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday, Nov. 3, charged of attempting murder following a series of stabbings between Oct. 31 and November 1.

Seven of the patients injured during the stabbing sprees were released from the hospital on Tuesday. The BTP verified that one patient, a train staff member, is still in stable but critical condition, while three other patients are stable in the hospital.

According to Deputy Chief Constable Stuart Cundy, “the criminal investigation is a priority for BTP, and we are working closely with Cambridgeshire Constabulary and the Crown Prosecution Service.”

“We have also this week initiated measures to increase the visibility of police officers across the railway network to reassure both rail staff and the traveling public.”
