Oumou Bah, a 43-year-old woman, has been charged with murder after allegedly carrying out a brutal scissor attack that left one elderly roommate dead and another seriously injured. The attack occurred late Saturday night inside the Ebbets Field Apartments on Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn.

The Attack

According to authorities, Bah attacked 74-year-old Hadiatou Bah, stabbing her multiple times in the head and arms. She also attacked another roommate, 72 years old, cutting her back and arms with the scissors.

The 74-year-old victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital Center, where she later died from her injuries. The 72-year-old woman is currently in stable condition, according to police.

Motivation Behind the Attack

The violent assault is believed to have stemmed from a bitter feud between the roommates. Despite sharing the same last name, Oumou Bah and the victims are not related.

Arrest and Charges

Oumou Bah was taken into custody at the scene and faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and weapon possession. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the nature of the dispute or Bah’s motives.

Neighbor Reactions

Neighbors described the victims as quiet, loving, and caring people who had never been involved in any arguments. One neighbor revealed that Oumou Bah had moved into the apartment just five months ago.

Before police arrived, a man who lived with the women was seen banging on the barricaded door and shouting, “Let me in!”

One neighbor also mentioned that one of the victims worked as a home care attendant.

Court Appearance

Oumou Bah’s arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending as of Monday evening.
