Bad man': Former Marine put stillborn baby in trash after repeatedly striking pregnant victim in stomach to induce abortion, police allege

According to Arkansas police, a man has been arrested for attempting to force an abortion on a juvenile victim.

Wade Lawrence Green, 43, is accused with two charges of rape and one count each of sexual assault in the second degree, sexual extortion, and concealing birth, according to Benton County Sheriff’s Office records.

The underlying occurrences occurred on multiple occasions between 2020 and the spring of 2023, according to law enforcement officials.

The woman in the distressing case became pregnant over time, but the defendant reportedly didn’t care.

The defendant was arrested Monday after one of the alleged victims called 911 on November 9 to report a “bad man” sexually assaulting young kids, according to a heavily redacted affidavit obtained by Fort Smith-based CBS affiliate KFSM.

That day, Bentonville Police Department detectives raced over to the house in question and began interviewing the children inside. One of the victims, who was still young during her police interview, claimed Green began sexually abusing her in 2020.

“[Redacted] stated that the abuse from Wade began when she was 10 or 11,” the affidavit adds. “She said Wade would tell her that he wanted her to grow up and eventually be his wife and that it wasn’t pedophilia because they loved each other.”

According to the charging papers, the youngster claimed that Wade’s sexual assault led to her becoming pregnant in 2023.

In turn, the defendant attempted to abort the unborn child using a variety of cruel at-home tactics, including repeatedly hitting the girl in the stomach and inserting a metal rod into her, according to authorities.

The adolescent victim told authorities that she gave birth within the house in March 2023. The baby, however, was stillborn.

The kid victim informed authorities that she blacked out during giving birth. According to the affidavit, the victim stated that she had never seen her kid but was aware that it had died. The woman went on to explain that she imagined Green placed the baby body in a trash bag and disposed of the remains.

According to officials, the girl claimed she never visited a hospital during the miscarriage or recuperation procedure.

In a follow-up interview with a child advocate, the girl stated that she had been subjected to pressure, psychological and physical abuse, as well as rape and a forced abortion attempt, according to police.

The defendant subsequently resumed sexually assaulting the girl barely a few weeks after giving birth, according to authorities. According to the complaint, the abuse only ended after she moved out of Green’s home.

The girl also claimed that the defendant threatened to expose footage of him raping her if she ever told anybody about her experiences inside his home, according to police.

Green is also accused of telling several others that he was a former Marine and special forces member capable of murder while concealing his own guilt, according to police.

The claims against Green may merely be the beginning.

A representative for the Bentonville Police Department told the TV station that their investigation was “very active” and involved several kid victims, but declined to provide further specifics.

The defendant is now held in the Benton County Jail on a $500,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 22.
