Michael Rowland, 50, was arrested by the Ocala Police Department in connection with the death of his girlfriend, 72-year-old Diane German. The arrest came months after Rowland called 911 on December 28, 2025, claiming he had found German unresponsive in her swimming pool at her home in Ocala, Florida.
Emergency responders pronounced German dead at the scene.

Rowland told police that he discovered German floating in the pool and jumped in to pull her out. Investigators noted that water found throughout the home appeared to support his account.
