On July 28, 2022, Troy was reported missing by his adoptive parents. Police came to the home and started a search. While doing a full check of the house, officers discovered Troy’s body inside a top-loading washing machine located in the garage. He was fully clothed. He was declared dead at 7:20 a.m.
Who Were Troy’s Adoptive Parents?
Troy had been adopted in 2019 by Jemaine and Tiffany Thomas. Three years later, both would face charges in connection to his death. Jemaine, now 45, pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced on July 30, 2025, to 50 years in prison.
