According to investigators, the male victim's half-brother murdered the missing pregnant woman and her spouse.

Sterling James and Sayde Titus, a couple from Lincoln, Nebraska, face murder charges in the deaths of Hannah Neville (26, 32 weeks pregnant), her husband Roberto Tanner (27), and their unborn child. James, Tanner’s half-brother, allegedly shot the victims on January 15-16, 2026, after they visited his apartment; Titus is accused of aiding by helping bury the bodies and burn Neville’s SUV, found engulfed in flames.

Timeline of Events

Neville left Stromsburg on Jan. 15 to pick up Tanner in Lincoln; cellphone data placed them at James’s apartment around 7 p.m., then at another Lancaster County site until 1:30 a.m. Their devices went offline after additional travel on Jan. 16, coinciding with the vehicle’s discovery. James confessed to the shootings during a Feb. 1 search warrant execution.

Investigation Status

James faces two first-degree murder counts; Titus, two aiding-and-abetting counts; both were arrested at home. As of early February 2026, police search rural Saunders County for remains, with no motive released; the case stems from a missing persons report. Lincoln PD urges tips via 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers.
