A tragic discovery has led authorities to launch a homicide investigation after a pregnant mother and her 3-year-old son were found dead in a Greenwood, Indiana, home.
The Victims: Karon and Karter Clay
Karon J. Clay, 33, and her 3-year-old son, Karter K. Clay, were found deceased on Monday, August 4, following a welfare check by authorities. Police responded to the home after concerns were raised.
Coroner’s Findings
The Johnson County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identities of the deceased, revealing that Karon was in her third trimester of pregnancy at the time of her death. Both bodies showed signs of decomposition, according to police reports.
