A disturbing shooting incident in the Bronx has raised concerns about safety, especially as it happened near a daycare centre in broad daylight.

Two Teens Injured in Bronx Shooting

Police say two 15-year-old boys were shot on Thursday afternoon in the West Farms area of the Bronx. The incident happened near Honeywell Avenue and 180th Street, close to the Bronx Zoo.

According to the New York Police Department, the shooting took place around 3:15 p.m.

Serious Injuries Reported

One of the teenagers was shot in the left hand, while the other suffered a gunshot wound to the left side of his face. Both victims were quickly taken to the hospital for treatment.

Thankfully, officials confirmed that both boys are currently in stable condition.

Incident Happened Near Daycare

The shooting occurred just a few feet away from a daycare centre and directly across from a grocery store. This has raised serious concerns among local residents, as the area is usually busy during the afternoon with families and children.

No Arrests Yet

As of now, no suspects have been arrested. Police are continuing their investigation and are working to understand what led to the shooting.

Authorities are also looking for any witnesses or information that could help identify those responsible.
