New information about a 15-year-old cold case could help investigators figure out who killed a New Hampshire mother.
On October 11, 2010, police were dispatched to 267 North River Road in Manchester to conduct a welfare check on Lynne Brennan, 53, who had been missing for almost a week, according to a release from the New Hampshire Department of Justice.
When officers entered her residence, they discovered the mother of three had died from blunt force trauma.
Brennan was last seen in public on October 4, 2010, around 3:29 p.m. at Bunny’s Superette on 75 Webster Street in Manchester.
It is likely she was murdered before Sunday, October 10, despite the fact that her body was not discovered until the following day.
Authorities released video (embedded below) shows Brennan purchasing milk and other things at the store’s check-out counter, in the hopes that it would help authorities find her killer.
She appears calm as she interacts with the cashier and searches her purse for her wallet. She takes the bags and steers a shopping cart away from the counter before disappearing from view.
In 2018, Brennan’s sister talked to WMUR about the tragic murder.
“Why would anyone want to take her life?” Lisa Post informed the outlet. “She was a good person.” It’s horrible at times, and as time passes, you try to find methods to adapt and live with it, but it’s always there.”
