Bradley Moss, the father, reported hearing a loud boom, rushing in to find Acelynn shot and Bass holding the gun while their 2-year-old daughter cried. He claimed Bass said she shot Acelynn to “send her to God” and intended to harm the older child next. Louisiana DCFS took custody of the surviving toddler.​
