Charlotte, North Carolina — Police said a homicide investigation is currently ongoing in northwest Charlotte.
At 7:07 p.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a business in the 5000 block of Beatties Ford Road for complaints of a deadly weapon assault.
According to Major Anderson of the CMPD’s North Division, the event took place inside the company. The Queen City News team observed officers entering and exiting a Wingstop.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male with a gunshot wound. Medics performed life-saving procedures on the victim, but he died at the site.
According to police, this was a single incidence involving a non-employee.
