Marlboro County, South Carolina – The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office arrested a guy on Tuesday for allegedly stealing money before attacking a woman.
Roy Bethea-White, Jr. was charged with strong-arm robbery and assault and violence.
On July 26, the sheriff’s office was called to a home in response to an alleged assault and robbery.
According to officials, the victim said that Bethea-White wanted to borrow money and, after getting a portion, took an extra $240 in cash.
When confronted, Bethea-White allegedly threw the woman down, choked her, and struck her before fleeing before the deputy arrived.
Bethea-White was found and apprehended in Scotland County, North Carolina, and then placed into the Marlboro County Detention Center.
Bethea-White’s bond was set at $10,000.
