Marlboro County, South Carolina — A guy is facing charges in Marlboro County after allegedly getting into a confrontation with another man outside a pub in McColl and firing a shot that injured a female bystander.
Isham Glenn Smith was arrested Saturday night and charged with aggravated assault and battery, as well as possession of a firearm while committing a violent offense. He was transferred to Marlboro County Detention Center to await his bond hearing.
Deputies reported the incident occurred Saturday morning outside the Just One More bar, located at 3360 Highway 15-401 Bypass. During the fight, “Smith retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and discharged a single round at a nearby vehicle,” deputies stated.
According to deputies, the woman was providing transportation to another individual when she was wounded by a gunshot that passed through the driver’s side door. She was treated at Scotland Memorial Hospital and is currently improving, according to deputies.
