Anabel Torres, a 24-year-old woman from Oklahoma and member of the Muscogee Nation, was arrested early Sunday for allegedly stealing her ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend’s SUV and deliberately crashing it into his Tulsa home while he, the girlfriend, and her two young children were inside.

Police described her as the “mad ex-girlfriend” who acted erratically, took the keys without permission, rammed two parked cars, then drove through the front of the house; she reportedly admitted intending to drive over anyone there and resisted arrest.

Incident Details

Tulsa officers responded to a 5:39 a.m. “trouble unknown” call, hearing screams inside and seeing the red SUV embedded in the residence.

No injuries were specified, but the family was home during the crash.

Charges and Status

Torres faces assault with a deadly weapon, assault and battery on a police officer, malicious mischief, larceny of an automobile, and resisting arrest.

Her case transfers to the FBI and tribal authorities; she’s held at Tulsa County Jail, with no court date listed.
