A 7-year-old boy’s body was discovered in the freezer of a Los Angeles County house, prompting three arrests.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies discovered the boy’s body while conducting a welfare check at a residence in Lynwood, Calif., on Tuesday, Oct. 28, according to KTLA, KNBC, and KABC.
According to KABC, the deputies were summoned after someone reported a deceased child in the home. According to the publication, the residence was located in an apartment building.
Following the horrifying finding, deputies responded and arrested the boy’s mother, father, and grandmother, according to multiple publications.
Destiny Harrison, 25, the boy’s mother, is being held on suspicion of murder, according to reports from the sheriff’s department.
Daniel Monzon, 25, and Ana Zarceno-Carcamo, 46, are reportedly being jailed on suspicion of conspiracy to kill.
According to jail records, all three are jailed on $2 million bail. It is unclear whether they have been formally charged.
Authorities have not yet announced the victim’s identity or cause of death.
Three other children, aged 9 months, 13 years, and 16 years, were discovered in the home, according to reports. KNBC reports that they were all brought into protective custody.
