2 South Carolina ladies pour gasoline on dog and light it on fire, authorities say

Union County, South Carolina — Deputies say two ladies set fire to a dog, and they are now facing criminal charges.

Cassidi Bailey Hyatt, 26, and Jada Dannielle Rogers, 28, were arrested Friday night after Union County deputies were called to a home on Linersville Road at 10:15 p.m. to investigate a report of a dog being set on fire.

According to the warrants, they allegedly poured gasoline on a still-living dog and ignited it on fire. They are charged with animal cruelty and torture.

They were issued $10,000 bail and booked into the Union County Detention Center.
