RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. – One person has died following a motorcycle crash Tuesday in Richland County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Crash Happened Near Killian Road
Authorities said the collision occurred on Wilson Boulevard near Killian Road.
According to investigators, a 2018 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on Wilson Boulevard while a 2013 Nissan Altima was traveling south. Troopers said the driver of the Nissan attempted to turn onto Killian Road and collided with the motorcycle during the turn.
Motorcyclist Dies at Hospital
Emergency medical crews transported both drivers, who were the only occupants of their vehicles, to a local hospital for treatment.
Officials later confirmed that the motorcyclist died at the hospital due to injuries suffered in the crash.
The condition of the Nissan driver has not been released.
Investigation Ongoing
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash and has not released additional details at this time.
