Kotlikoff alleged that, after a brief exchange, he was harassed by the group, who followed him to his car, continuing to record him despite his requests for them to stop.
The Incident with the Car
Kotlikoff explained that as he attempted to leave the parking lot, the group surrounded his car, banging on the windows and blocking the vehicle. He stated that he waited for an opportunity to safely drive out, using his car’s rear pedestrian alert and automatic braking system to carefully maneuver out of the parking space.
Surveillance footage from the incident shows Kotlikoff’s car starting, with a small group of individuals standing behind it. Cellphone footage later surfaced showing a student yelling that their foot had been run over.
Allegations from Students for a Democratic Cornell
