According to the Anderson Police Department, officers responded to a call before 8 p.m. about a shooting in the 3400 block of Clemson Boulevard.
When police arrived, they found the victim lying on a hill behind a business with a gunshot wound to his right foot. No suspect was found at the scene.
What the Victim Told Police
The victim informed officers that the incident happened behind Skins Hotdogs, near a gazebo.
Based on initial findings, police believe the shooting may have happened during a planned robbery.

Investigators said the robbery could be connected to the victim cashing a check at a nearby Walmart.
