According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place Monday morning around 9 a.m. at a Walmart in Cross Lanes.
The victim, Misty Rose Williams, 40, had stepped outside during her break and went to her car in the parking lot.
When she did not return after more than an hour, co-workers went to check on her and found her unresponsive inside the vehicle.
Discovery and Investigation

- Her car had moved forward and hit another parked vehicle

Suspect Identified
Investigators identified Eric Dewayne Richmond, 54, as the suspect.
