Fire crews responded to a residential structure fire in Effingham on Saturday evening, working quickly to bring the flames under control.
Crews Dispatched to Mandela Lane
According to the Florence County Fire Rescue, multiple units were dispatched around 6:40 p.m. to the 2400 block of Mandela Lane.
Engine 211, Engine 221, and Engine 751 all responded to the reported fire.
Mobile Home Found with Active Flames
Officials said the first crew on scene encountered a single-story mobile home with visible smoke and fire.
Firefighters immediately began suppression efforts to contain the blaze and prevent further spread.
Fire Brought Under Control
Crews were able to bring the fire under control by approximately 7:30 p.m.
Firefighters remained on scene afterward to monitor conditions and ensure the area was safe.
Investigation Ongoing
No additional details about injuries or the cause of the fire have been released.
