A 33‑year‑old man from Goose Creek, Joa’n Ramon Ortega, has been identified as the person who drowned on Folly Beach on Easter Sunday.

- Lifesaving efforts were made, but he was pronounced deceased at the James Island Emergency Department after being transported from the beach.
