A deeply disturbing case in Woodstock has ended with a life sentence, after a man was found guilty of murdering his wife inside their home.

Kelvin Demond Williams, 48, has been convicted of murder, aggravated assault, and several other charges in the killing of his wife, Tenisha Williams. A judge sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole, along with an additional 100 years.
The case was prosecuted by the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office, which described the evidence as overwhelming.
What Happened That Night
The incident took place on July 13, 2025, at the couple’s home. Around 10:40 p.m., a 16-year-old boy called emergency services, saying his stepfather was shooting at him and had already shot his mother. He was hiding in a room while a younger child slept elsewhere in the house.
When deputies arrived, they found the suspect in the kitchen smoking a cigarette. Inside, they discovered Tenisha Williams with a fatal gunshot wound.
Shocking Evidence in Court
During the trial, jurors were shown footage from inside the home. The video revealed that Williams first fired at his stepson, then at his wife, and continued shooting as the teenager tried to escape.
Prosecutors said he eventually cornered his wife in the kitchen. Despite her pleading, he fired the final shot that killed her. Afterward, he reportedly made a disturbing comment while standing over her body.
