'I want to see your grandkid's intestines all over the road': A Colorado man detained over neighbor quarrel, authorities say

A tense neighbourhood dispute in Colorado Springs has led to the arrest of a man accused of making threats and damaging property, according to police.

What Happened

Police say the incident took place on March 24 at a home on Bellcove Circle. A resident called 911 around 3:15 p.m., reporting that their neighbour had made serious threats and damaged parts of their property. The caller also claimed to have video evidence of the incident.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the suspect, identified as Alex Muller, allegedly made disturbing statements about harming children. While there were slight differences in how the threat was reported, authorities said the meaning was clearly serious and concerning.

Ongoing Dispute Between Neighbours

Homeowners told officials that the conflict with the neighbour had been going on for a long time and had been getting worse. Due to the ongoing issues, the family has even put their house up for sale.

Police also said Muller was already under a protection order related to a previous domestic violence case, which he is accused of violating during this incident.

Confrontation with Police

When officers arrived, they say Muller behaved aggressively and refused to cooperate. Authorities reported that both Muller and his father made threatening gestures toward officers and used offensive language.

Police set up a perimeter around the home to manage the situation safely. Muller’s father eventually surrendered and was released after being cited for a minor offence. Muller, however, remained inside for some time.

Arrest and Aftermath

Officers later used a non-lethal method involving a pepper spray projectile to bring the situation under control. Muller was then taken into custody with minor injuries and later transported to a hospital before being moved to El Paso County Jail.

He now faces multiple charges, including criminal mischief, assault on an officer, obstruction, and violation of a protection order.

Family Response and Investigation

The Muller family has denied the allegations, claiming they are not true and stating they are considering legal action. Meanwhile, police continue to review evidence and investigate the case.
