A person has died following a two-vehicle crash that occurred earlier this month along S.C. 90 near the S.C. 22 exit ramp in the Conway area, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Details of the Collision
Master Trooper Joseph Rowell said the crash happened at approximately 7:51 a.m. on Feb. 4. The driver of a 2012 Lexus sedan was attempting to turn left onto S.C. 90 from the exit ramp when the vehicle was struck by a 2015 Lincoln SUV.
The driver of the Lexus was transported to the hospital and later died on Feb. 24 from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Lincoln SUV was also taken to the hospital with injuries. The name of the deceased has not been released.
Emergency Response and Road Impact
Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene and worked to extricate at least one person who was trapped inside a vehicle. The crash temporarily shut down lanes of traffic along S.C. 90 as emergency personnel cleared the scene.
