The event occurred on Sunday morning, December 28, 2025, near Rivers and Aviation Avenues. Velasquez faces serious charges including drug trafficking and firearm offenses.​
Incident Details
Victims reported that Velasquez’s truck intentionally blew black exhaust at them while stopped at a traffic light. When they caught up to him in a parking lot on the 5600 block of Rivers Avenue, he allegedly pointed a loaded handgun at them. Officers responded around 11:30 a.m. and took him into custody without resistance.​
Evidence Recovered
During the search, police found a loaded handgun, fentanyl, and heroin on Velasquez. These items led to charges tied to possession and distribution. No injuries were reported from the confrontation.​​
Charges Filed
Velasquez was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center on multiple counts: two for pointing and presenting a firearm, trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and possession of a firearm during a violent crime. Court details remain pending as of late December 2025.​
