The black Ford Mustang, spotted speeding with lights off, led to the pursuit when Solis Olquin allegedly jumped into the driver’s seat and fled, reaching speeds over 100 mph through Dorchester and Charleston counties.​
Incident Details
Deputies first approached the vehicle on Volvo Car Drive, but Solis Olquin took control and evaded, weaving through traffic on I-26 eastbound. North Charleston Police ended the chase by deploying stop sticks near Highway 78 and the I-26 overpass, disabling the Mustang. During arrest, Solis Olquin became combative, allegedly head-butting a deputy.​
