Lowcountry churches in Beaufort, S.C., are providing warming shelters as cold temperatures persist through Tuesday morning.
Shelter Locations
Sea Island Presbyterian Church is hosting a cold weather shelter open Sunday, December 14, and Monday, December 15. Christ Lutheran Church at 829 William Hilton Parkway in Hilton Head (near Beaufort) offers overnight warming for those in need.
Services Provided
Shelters include essentials like dinner, showers, and breakfast at locations such as 81 Lady’s Island Dr. in Beaufort. These community efforts address the ongoing Cold Weather Advisory with wind chills in the teens.
