A Charleston County judge approved a $160,000 settlement this week in the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Aric Hutchinson after his bride, Samantha Miller, was killed in a DUI golf cart crash on Folly Beach in April 2023. Hutchinson, who was seriously injured, receives a net $104,586.67 after attorney fees and costs, releasing Jamie Komoroski from further civil claims.​
Crash Details
Komoroski, driving intoxicated with a blood alcohol level over three times the legal limit, rear-ended the newlyweds’ golf cart at 65 mph in a 25 mph zone shortly after their wedding. Miller died at the scene, while Hutchinson suffered brain injuries and fractures.​
