North Charleston Police reported a fatal crash Wednesday morning on Rivers Avenue near N.A.D. Road. A vehicle traveling east from Goose Creek lost control, colliding with an 18-wheeler that leaked diesel fuel, resulting in one occupant pronounced dead at the scene.

First responders handled the diesel spill with assistance from the SC Department of Environmental Services and SC Department of Transportation. NCPD’s Traffic Unit and the Charleston County Coroner’s Office are investigating, with no victim identity released publicly yet.
