The dog and vehicle were recovered after being stolen in the Upstate

Following a weekend automobile theft in Spartanburg County, both the vehicle and the dog inside were recovered. Deputies arrived to the QT gas station on Fairview Church Road in Spartanburg around 6 a.m. Saturday.

Deputies arrived and talked with the victims, who informed them that their vehicle had been taken with their dog inside. Deputies said Sunday that the vehicle had been found just across the North Carolina border in Cleveland County.

A citizen-led search party was eventually able to locate the dog, who was also in Cleveland County. There were no injuries recorded during the incident.
