Charleston, South Carolina — The City of Charleston is once again providing free parking to downtown consumers this holiday season.

On Wednesday, the city announced the return of its annual “Holy City Holiday Park and Shop Pass,” which offers two hours of free parking at select garages until the end of December.

The voucher will be available from November 26 to December 31, at the following four garages:

Saint Philip Street Garage (34 Saint Philip Street)

Visitor Center Garage (63 Mary Street)

Majestic Square Garage (211 King Street)

Queen Street Garage (93 Queen Street)

Fewer garages are available for the promotion than in years past. City officials said the participating garages were chosen based on previous use and their central proximity to retail stores and restaurants.

To use the voucher, grab a ticket from the machine upon entering a participating garage. Upon exiting the garage, insert the ticket first, then scan the voucher’s QR code under the reader. Then, pay any remaining fees.

The voucher cannot be used during special event rates.
