Mount Pleasant, South Carolina – On Saturday and Sunday, Boone Hall Farms will host its annual Christmas Tree Festival to kick off the holiday season.
Thanksgiving is less than a week away, but some are already preparing for Christmas. One of the Lowcountry’s greatest locations will be transformed into a winter wonderland with a special guest from the North Pole.
“Beyond making sure that all the elves here at Boone Hall are doing exactly what they need to do, we’re going to have an amazing Christmas tree festival,” Santa Claus of Boone Hall Farms told me.
Out with the pumpkin patches, in with the Christmas trees and lights. The festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on November 22 and 23.
“Our holiday Christmas Tree Festival, presented by our friends at Starling Chevrolet and Beacon Community Bank, will run for two days,” stated Live Productions Operations Manager Jon Allen Powell.
It will be a one-stop shop for all holiday needs, with hundreds of Christmas trees ranging in size from 4 to 14 feet; there will be one for every household.
“We have Christmas trees as tall as the eye can see and as low as your small child. The smallest trees start at $85. “Our largest trees, which can reach 14 feet tall, cost $395,” Powell explained.
There’s more for the entire family to enjoy. Smore-making contests, ferris wheel rides, arts and crafts, and even visits with Santa, who will be available to youngsters from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
“Come out, and tell me your Christmas wishes. Bring a camera and a cell phone. And we’ll make lovely memories to last a lifetime,” stated Santa.
It promises to be a memorable weekend, and it is free to attend.
